Definitely suitable for couples on a budget
The bed was comfy and the breakfast was a revelation with all those choices like meats, cheeses and even poached eggs that I didn't expect as it's not your typical hotel breakfast Also the staff were friendly very welcoming and made you feel right at home even took a moment to chat instead of just handing over the keys
It wasn’t exactly cheap for what you get but still acceptable for a quick getaway

Three flights of stairs can be a struggle!!! No heating in the bathroom made showering unbearable!!! Bedroom furnishings are outdated, and the shower hose needs immediate replacement!!! Consider more thorough cleaning of window frames!!!

Warm hospitality made the stay enjoyable, with a cozy bed ensuring a restful night. The breakfast was plentiful, offering a great variety while homemade sausages were particularly delightful. the room was disappointing. it felt very basic and lacked adequate toiletries. extensive roadworks nearby caused significant noise disturbances throughout the night, impacting sleep quality.

central gem for exploring parks and local eateries
I loved how I could easily stroll to Priory Lido, just a short walk away, and enjoy a relaxing time by the water. The extensive continental breakfast offering was a delightful start to my day, featuring everything from meats to poached eggs, making it as good as what I've experienced in larger hotels.

It was an excellent fit for a weekend jaunt in Ware with good value for cost. A small fan was provided during the hot nights, which helped a bit. Be aware of possible noise from the street and resurfacing work outside.

The room was spacious and pretty tidy. The bed was super comfy, and I slept really well. The bathroom was clean, and the shower was great. No issues with noise too, which was a surprise for a pub setting. Everything felt welcoming and well-kept.

Conveniently located near the high street, making it easy to explore local pubs and shops. The room included coffee and tea-making facilities, which came in handy after a long day.
The furnishings felt outdated and basic, lacking any real comfort. The shower room had a persistent cold draft, and no toiletries were provided apart from hand soap, making it less appealing for those who prefer a fully stocked bathroom. The presence of a noisy macerator nearby disrupted sleep often, and the windows had layers of paint that made opening them nearly impossible—certainly not ideal on a warm night.

Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement
We enjoyed a one-night stay. The room was cozy, but a few maintenance issues hindered our sleep quality. The continental breakfast provided a decent start to the day, although the DIY eggs in the microwave could use a rethink. Bring your own coffee for a better morning boost!
